The word recalibrate took on a whole new depth for me recently—beyond simply resetting or grounding. It became an invitation to align with my heart, Spirit, and the energy of this sacred month. Where Am I Today? This year has been a journey of stepping out of my comfort zone, creating alongside Spirit, and holding space for others. I've watched my intentions manifest and navigated challenges that deepened my relationship with Spirit and solidified my beliefs. But a few weeks ago, I felt off—tired, stagnant, and stuck in the repetitive energy of dealing with a persistent water leak in my home. As December approached, I asked myself: What is this teaching me? Why do I encounter this same issue every December? In seeking guidance, I found myself at my mentor’s workshop by divine timing. The theme? Recalibration. Initially, I thought it would focus on grounding, centering, and setting intentions. But what I encountered went far deeper. The Journey Inward Surrounded by familiar and kindred souls, I felt held in a safe, intimate space. Before meditation, a participant shared her journey of trusting the unseen. Her words resonated deeply with me as I prepared to embark on my own meditation journey. I asked Spirit, Where do I need to recalibrate? and surrendered. I saw a little girl walking, holding someone’s hand. As I ventured deeper, I found myself sitting across from my own heart—a part of myself I hadn’t intentionally visited in a long time. Tears streamed down my face as the realization sank in: I hadn’t made space to sit with my heart and ask how it’s feeling. As a spiritual practitioner, mother, daughter, sister, and partner, I’m constantly holding space for others. But somewhere along the way, I had forgotten to hold space for my own heart. In that moment, grief and comfort washed over me, releasing through my tears and the supportive presence of those in the room. Spirit guided me to recalibrate—to come back to my heart, to hold its hand as it has so often held mine. December: A Portal of Recalibration The energy of December, aligned with the sacred number 12, carries profound significance. It represents wholeness, divine order, and spiritual alignment—a portal of completion that bridges the physical and spiritual realms. This month invites us to recalibrate, nurture our spiritual practice, and deepen our connection to Spirit. But recalibration is more than letting go. It’s about aligning mind, body, soul, and Spirit, creating harmony as we transition into the new year. Here are some reflections for this sacred season:
Recalibrate not just to reset—but to come home to yourself. Sending you all so much love, Healing begins with you, within you, and for you. Asé! Amen! Karla Roach "KAIA", Spiritual Practitioner & Mentor

As we approach the colder seasons, it's natural to find ourselves seeking solace within. This is the perfect time to connect with your inner child—whether through play, games, or hobbies. In this season of introspection, let’s focus on what needs to be addressed and explore the tools that can help us realign. The mind is urging us to stop dispersing our energy, to stop spreading ourselves too thin. It’s time to shake things up and restore inner alignment. Use this opportunity to self-reflect and set practices, both inner and outer, that serve your well-being. Be kind to your mind; embrace it with grace. Don’t allow your emotions to run the show—your mind is asking you to stop running from past hurts, thoughts, patterns, habits, or reactions. Face your emotions and release them, because only through confrontation will you truly see yourself. To bring balance to the mind, practice acceptance. To bring healing to the heart, practice surrender. Let go of trying to control what cannot be changed and focus on thoughts and relationships that nurture your soul. October brings an opportunity to align with all aspects of your being—mind, body, and soul. The colder days invite you to build warmth within and reconnect with your heart. Give your inner child a loving kiss on the forehead, hug your teenage self, hold the hand of your older self, and step fully into your heart. Tune into your being from a place of love and discover new ways of cultivating inner intimacy. Warm yourself with the fire of this full moon and let it guide you to the essence of who you truly are. Break free from old patterns, set positive intentions, and nurture your growth. Patience will help you achieve stillness; creativity will feed your soul as it once did when you were a child, barefoot and joyful. As you connect mind to body, acknowledge both what needs healing and what deserves celebration. Face every part of yourself with unconditional love, compassion, and forgiveness. Be graceful with yourself as you take accountability for both the old you and the new you that is emerging. In this journey, find the light within and let Spirit hold your hand through the darkest moments. You are becoming a new version of yourself—trust the higher forces guiding you. Surrender to stillness, invite silence into your mind, and know that you are supported every step of the way. This is a time to step out of your comfort zone and shed the illusions that make you feel hopeless. Plant new seeds and plan how to renew the garden of your soul. Tend to your emotions and nurture your dreams. Drop the shields of outdated patterns and trust that you are protected as you release them. Allow balance to return to your mind, body, and soul. Finally, surrender to the changes, growth, and projects that are unfolding. With grace and unconditional love, find your way to a new, more aligned version of yourself. Sending you all so much love, Healing begins with you, within you, and for you. Asé! Amen! Karla Roach "KAIA", Spiritual Practitioner & Mentor Written by: Amy Lo, Somatic Practitioner
As we enter this full moon in Aries, rooted in the element of fire, we are called to harness the transformative power of this element—its warmth, intensity, and ability to spark change. While fire often evokes energy and action, it also invites us to soften, to temper its flame with intentional pauses and moments of reflection. This full moon offers the perfect opportunity to balance the fiery energy by welcoming softness into our bodies and hearts. Just as fire needs stillness to burn steadily, we too can find harmony by releasing tension, creating space, and embracing ease within ourselves. By doing so, we allow the power of this moon cycle to work through us more gently, aligning with both the vitality of fire and the nurturing qualities of softness. Inviting softness into yourself during the full moon can be a beautiful practice for releasing tension and embracing a sense of ease. Here are some somatic tools and tips that can help you cultivate that softness: 1. Breath Awareness with Sighs
These somatic practices, when paired with the energetic potency of the full moon, create a powerful opportunity to invite softness and renewal into your life. By engaging in gentle, intentional movements and mindful breathing, you create space within your body for stillness and relaxation. This softness allows you to surrender the pressures of daily life and feel more grounded in your body. As we listen to our body's needs—honoring where tension resides and gently coaxing him/her to release—we cultivate a deeper awareness of the wisdom held within us. In doing so, we align not only with our own rhythm but also with the natural flow of the lunar cycle. The act of softening becomes a practice of nourishment, a way of reconnecting with ourselves and attuning to the moon’s energy. This creates fertile ground for emotional and physical renewal, allowing us to move through the rest of the cycle with a sense of openness and clarity. As summer fades and we transition into fall, life shifts, and new routines take over—school, work, and daily responsibilities pick up pace. Our minds may race, caught between doing too much and too little, while our bodies struggle to find energy. September calls on us to pause, reflect, and create space to organize and calibrate. This month asks: What are we bringing forward into the next nine months? What are we harvesting now, and what seeds are we planting for the future? What tools in our personal and spiritual toolkit need renewing, and what must be released? What has run its course, and what aspects of our lives need to be rebirthed? September encourages us to reflect on what we’re creating—whether it’s a new idea, project, or growth in any form. How are we preparing our mind, body, and soul for the journey ahead? Are we nourishing ourselves and establishing the right practices to support our growth? How are we grounding ourselves to sustain our energy and intention? This is a time to release fears and self-doubt through intentional breathwork. Ground yourself by establishing spiritual practices that bring peace and clarity. Now is the time to ignite your inner fire, taking action with purpose. Tune into your solar plexus, shedding old beliefs and inviting light by nurturing your inner strength. Keep the flame burning as you head toward the colder months, feeding your ability to plant and grow, even in challenging times. Seek out the light within and bring it into your shadows. Embrace this process with love and care, treating it as a time of conception—whether for a new idea, project, or change in your life. Nurture it with patience and dedication, as you are now planting the seeds for the next nine months. September invites you to tend to these seeds, nourish them, and watch your dreams grow and flourish. Karla Roach (Kaia) Spiritual Practitioner and Mentor Written by: Kati Inez Mesa, Embodiment Mentor
Blessings Fam, As we continue to bask in the transformative energies of the recent Capricorn full moon, we are reminded of the importance of setting intentions and creating sacred spaces within ourselves. The full moon offers us a chance to release that which no longer serves us, paving the way for personal growth and mental breakthroughs. Sacred Plants and Ceremonies: A Gateway to Inner Reflection In our recent discussion, we explored the powerful alignment of the Capricorn full moon with the use of sacred plants and ceremonies. This time is not only about identifying neglected sacred spaces within ourselves but also about celebrating the collective journey towards healing. It's an invitation to observe and make space for new positive energies by clearing out lingering imbalances and creating new habits. Self-Reflective Tips:

The 20th of June marked the official beginning of summer in the Northern Hemisphere: Summer Solstice along with a Full Moon. May we welcome ourselves into the new shift of season. Connecting with the energy of the sun and harnessing its power for personal growth and transformation. It marked a new beginning, as the longest day of the year (the longest day and shortest night of the year), to celebrate this day as a time of renewal, abundance, manifestation, and setting intentions for the months ahead. With the change of the season, the power of the full moon deeply affects us on all kinds of levels. How do we pay attention and take care of our emotional health? How do we utilize the elements to help us transition through this shift of this season? Tips Why it is important to have a practice to check in with our body. Why would people want to move around this time. There is a surge of charged energy around the full moon period, our bodies are going through strong energetic pulls. To move this energy that has been pulling at us, within ourselves, it’s essential to help our bodies to adjust and learn to flow with the cycles of the moon. To incorporate stillness and movements that are inviting and open instead of harsh and forceful. When we start to develop a regular practice of connecting with our bodies in an intentional and spiritual way, our bodies learn to relax and get out of fight/flight, survival state. Similar to the ways we cultivate a relaxing and soft environment for our babies or kids to fall asleep, we must respect and take care of our bodies with the same intention and care. Do you want to move so your body can let go, or do you want to move so your body can feel energized? Set the intention and environment, and your body will arrive. May it be a few minutes or 10, 20, or 30 minutes, however long you can get it. How this may look like:
Another note to share, as we have continuously worked hard from all the seasons, please remember to give grace to ourselves. To appreciate and acknowledge ourselves.. To reflect and see how far along we have come. To give ourselves compassion and recognize that we have done amazing work and progress. A little self appreciation and acknowledgement goes a long way. Keep encouraging and speak positive truths to yourself, your body is always listening to your words. Some phrases we can say to ourselves:
May you see all the beauties and strengths that you possess, powerful beings. We will share a flow every 3rd Tuesday of the month, if you find a calling and would like to practice together, please come join me on the floor by RSVP below. selfcarebooking.as.me/schedule.php?appointmentType=62853065 With Metta, Amy Lo, Somatic Practitioner Written by: Amy Lo, Somatic Practitioner
As Winter’s shadow gently sheds, we enter the awakening spring. We can smell it in the air, see it in the trees, and hear it in the songs of awakening animals. Days stretches longer and life blossoms–this is a time of renewal, new beginnings, growth, and deep transformations. Eclipses happen when the Sun, Moon and Earth fall perfectly into place in alignment. This alignment occurs every 6 months and always occurs in pairs. A Solar eclipse can only occur during a new moon, while a lunar eclipse can only happen during a full Moon. We have just passed the first set of the eclipse season for this year. On March 25th, we witnessed the first lunar eclipse of this year. Symbolically, the March full Moon, the first spring full moon, represents renewal, growth and the transition from winter to spring, thus bringing a sense of awakening and rejuvenation in the natural world. Energies around the full Moon are heightened, such as how tides are affected. Eclipse seasons are a powerful time for transformation, introspection, and change. This is the perfect time to set an intention to release old habits, patterns, and perspectives that no longer serve you, connecting you to the divine, making room to receive new energies. Due to the potent energy released by an eclipse, emotions (both positive and negative) can be extremely heightened. Personally, I felt an enormous amount of deep shadow emotions--despair, lack of hope, lack of motivation, and a sense of feeling lost, that have been stagnant in my body right before the lunar eclipse happened. With the passing of this last lunar eclipse, I've felt these emotions passing through. I didn’t realize what was happening and it wasn’t until with each passing day of the full moon, that I started to regain clarity, energy, and power to be able to move forward. Since then, I’ve felt a strong need to cut ties with what has been sitting stagnant inside of my body, cutting ties with memories of old patterns and ways of being. I realized how powerful the energy of the eclipse was. “During a lunar eclipse, the Sun, representing ego and heart, sits opposite the Moon (they are away, but aligned), which represents emotions and desires, putting them at odds with one another. The March eclipse is about reflecting on your personal struggles and relationships ahead of your chance to take decisive and direct action during the solar eclipse in April.” “During a solar eclipse, the Sun (ego and heart) aligns perfectly with the Moon (emotions and desires), fusing their energy. It's a time to summon courage even in the face of doubt.” It may seem like these eclipses stirs up a lot of craziness, but it is not all negative. Oftentimes, they help bring us back to our destined path when we veer too far off course. They help us to connect back to the divine, fulfilling our true purpose and destiny. “The emotional journey embarked during the lunar eclipse in March, will pave the way for the action you take during the solar eclipse in April. So, embrace the shifts and trust in the cosmic flow.” In recent years, I started exploring and practicing healing modalities that require both movement and stillness within myself. Somatic and movement-based healing help bring attention and awareness to our bodies. Trauma and stress are held in the physical body--this means that. no matter how much thinking or self-talk is done, our bodies require physical somatic connection in order to regulate and become soothed. On the other hand, I practice Vipassana Meditation for the stillness that my body needs. It is a body scanning approach meditation, that asks us to be aware and observe the sensations we are experiencing, acknowledge them, and let them go, practicing non-attachment and non-reaction. Both of these 2 types of practice—moving our bodies and allowing our bodies to be still, provides immense healing. I feel with each passing year, I’ve started to gain even more self-awareness, and conscious connection between my mind and my body. I would have never noticed my emotions or made the connections of what was happening in the past because of how out of tune I was within myself. Things are always happening inside us, seen and unseen. The answers we look for come so naturally and effortlessly when we are in deep connection with ourselves. If you feel resonated with this and want to learn how to feel and connect deeper with yourself, I would like to take this opportunity to invite you to join me for two somatic release sessions in April. We will connect with our body, allowing our bodies' own natural movement to guide, discover and transform with music & sound. Allowing ourselves to use our senses and feel all those deeply tucked away emotions; holding space and allowing them to be present, then letting it go so it no longer weighs us down. Please join me on April 23rd and April 30th at 5:30 pm on Zoom for A+Somatic Flow. selfcarebooking.as.me/schedule.php?appointmentType=62853065 With Mettā, Amy Lo @love.amylo @a.metta.vibe @a.solmatic.flow Written by Karla R. Spiritual Practitioner Welcome to a new year filled with possibilities and energies waiting to unfold! In the realm of numerology, each month carries its own unique vibrations and name, influencing the experiences and opportunities that come our way. As we stand on the threshold of a new year, January welcomes us with open arms, ushering in the promise of fresh beginnings and renewed hope. In this exploration of the first month, we delve into the mystical realms of angelic energies of number 1 and the fascinating connections between January, the Roman god Janus. January, the gateway to a new year, encourages us to reset, find balance, and set intentions that will shape our journey for the months ahead. Named after the Roman god Janus, who is the deity of beginnings, transitions, and doorways, this month carries the energy of a divine guardian overseeing the passage from the past to the future. Janus, depicted with two faces—one gazing into the past (December) and the other into the future (January)—symbolizes the transitional nature of this month. The duality inherent in Janus reflects the spectrum of beginnings, endings, and the journey in between. The beginning of the year is a prime moment for self-discovery. This month beckons us to ask ourselves what we are walking into, how we are getting there, and what intentions and boundaries we are setting for the year. Use the energy of January to explore your passions, reassess your priorities, and set positive intentions for personal growth. Connected to the energy of the angel number 1, January serves as a portal to new opportunities and fresh starts. This number resonates with independence, uniqueness, and the power to create positive change. It encourages us to stand tall in our uniqueness, express our authentic selves, and take charge of our personal journey. The number 1 is a powerful force for initiating projects and manifesting ideas into reality. If you've been contemplating a new venture or creative endeavor, January is the ideal time to take that crucial first step. Trust your instincts, embrace your intuition, and let the energy of the month propel you forward. Angel number 1, is closely tied to themes of love and creating positive bonds, encourages us to be mindful of the company we keep. Laden with ambition, this number speaks of confidence, new beginnings, and the importance of authentic choices. It serves as a reminder to surround ourselves with those aligned with our higher truth. As we step into January, it's an opportune time to leave behind anything that no longer serves us. Whether it be negative thought patterns, relationships, or self-sabotaging behaviors, embracing change allows us to free ourselves from the weights holding us back. As we traverse the transition from December to January, let's embrace the dualities, set meaningful intentions, and open ourselves to the opportunities that the energy of number 1 and the god Janus bring. January, with its promise of new beginnings and hope, invites us to step through the doorway into a year filled with positivity, authenticity, and the infinite possibilities that lie ahead. May the vibrations of this month guide you toward a year filled with positivity, purpose, and fulfillment. Happy January and happy numerology exploration! Written by Karla R. Spiritual Practitioner When we talk about energy, we're talking about the power to do things, whether that's physical, emotional, mental, or spiritual. And when we talk about December, we're talking about joy, celebration, festivities, family, friends, ups and downs, endings, and beginnings. But mostly, we talk about New Year’s resolutions. As we approach this new and final month of the year, we're invited to do just that: do “the work.” This December brings the energies of completion, growth, and oneness. In terms of numerology and vibes, December is all about the angel (master) number twelve and its vibrations. In numerology, the number 12 represents growth from the physical to the spiritual realm and vice versa. The angel number 12 can be a symbol of completion, but it also holds the energy of new beginnings, harmonious partnerships, and being on the edge of positive change. This number blends the energies of the numbers 1 and 2. The number 1 symbolizes new beginnings and independence, and the number 2 symbolizes growth, development, and patience. When you add them together, you get 3, which symbolizes creativity, growth, and optimism. Together, these numbers mark the end of a cycle and the start of something that will bring you into the full blossom of your divine existence. When we look at the number 12 in our world, it's hard to deny its importance. There are 12 hours in a day, 12 months in a year, and 12 signs of the zodiac. This number is a big part of how we balance, connect, and map out our lives. It's a number of progress and positive energy that invites us to break away from old ways and bring in new ways of being. December is the 12th month of the year, and it invites us to take a look at our inner emotional world and balance it with our outer world. We're invited to look at our dualities and find balance within ourselves. We're invited to look within and celebrate our accomplishments and failures, set new intentions, and break away from old habits. But most importantly, we're invited to visualize a new version of ourselves that's in alignment with the new, regenerated version of us. December is a magical time to connect with your emotions and be gentle with them. It's from within our inner waters that we can rise up and create new versions of ourselves. We all have negative qualities and thoughts that can hold us back, but instead of getting stuck in these thought patterns; this month encourages you to leave behind negative thinking, negative people, and toxic relationships. Step forward into emotional harmony, an optimistic attitude, and healthy relationships that will bring you spiritual growth and the purposeful life you want to manifest.
